We had wonderful appetizers to start sharing a diver scallop wrapped in salmon and presented on top of a ravioli. The presentation was incredible and the taste was superb. We also shared a salad dressed in walnut vinaigrette along with a wonderful crab cake. Our entrees were terrific from the rack of lamb to the daily special halibut dish to the seafood linguini. The service was very attentive and the server was able to describe each dish in incredible detail and where requested, offer perfect suggestions. This will now be our new go-to restaurant when we are in the area.
Consistently good food and friendly staff. The menu is up-scale with attention to detail, clean linen, good wine selection prompt service.
Last night's meal was excellent. My wife had the ravioli as a starter while I had one of the specials, which was a delightful seafood bisque. We both had one of the specials for our main course which was risotto (the risotto is always excellent) with grilled chicken and shrimp. For dessert it was the Creme Brule for my wife and another off-menu special for me, a fig pudding with ice cream. We shared and agreed both desserts were superb. This restaurant has now become our regular 'special' restaurant. It doesn't hurt that we live only 5 minutes away. The menu is not extensive but everything we've tried so far has been great. They have an extensive wine list.
This lovely restaurant on the main street of Aurora, features casual- fine dining. The menu is quite extensive, and rather different. Many dishes are the chef's special recipes. Food is beautifully prepared and served in an elegant way. My daughter had fish/crab cakes for starters and beef for the main course.I had a wonderful mushroom puree soup and the main course was quailI have also been to the AquaGrill for lunch and enjoyed the lunch menu as well
As we entered the restaurant, we were pleased with the atmosphere...softly lit, quaint and elegant . Our server was immediately attentive, very knowledgeable in regards to the wine list and the menu choices and extremely pleasant and helpful. THe appetizer portions were small, beautifully presented and delicious. The butternut squash ravioli melted in our mouths. The seafood pasta entree was cooked perfectly and full of fresh seafood but the pasta was a bit bland in taste. The shrimp in coconut curry was very good but needing a punch of more flavour. We enjoyed a delicious homemade strudel dessert which would have been even nicer, if warmed. Our server allowed us to take our time and enjoy a peaceful evening. All in all, a delightful experience and we will certainly return for more.
