The only bread I like here in the USA is Katich bread and a homemade sourdough that my friend makes.
I recommend this backery. The bread is fresh and delicious. Since the bakery is still new, it looks like they are adding products. I will definitely continue to buy bread from here.
Woot! A friend and I found Katic on the Evanston Farmers Market. At the end of the season they said they took orders online and fell on Saturday all the winter on the EFM website. We have made our way through the special items and it becomes a favorite ritual. The Kalamata Olive Loaf is not to be missed, and while it does not sound particularly fetching, we talked about the cracked Pepper Parmesan for a week after his departure and are waiting impatiently for his return. As far as the croissants are concerned, they are fantastic. My swarm is so far the Blackberry Pistachio, but all with Manchester is a tight second. It's all def worth the ride from Lincoln Square to Evanston every Saturday morning (we take turns). If you didn't try this mana out of heaven, do yourself a favor.
The breads are amazing. All of them. Look no further. A great family business with passionate and talented bakers. If you ever try their sourdough bread you will never go back to any other bread. Highly recommend.
