Mace's Snack Grille - Aurora

My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. We discovered it by chance while driving around. It was a rainy day that unexpectedly turned sunny. We decided to stop and ordered onion rings and a strawberry milkshake to stretch our legs. The restaurant was charming and operated by a group of teenagers. The atmosphere was great, and we sat in the back area imagining how fun it would be to hang out as a teenager on a Friday night. The milkshake and onion rings were fantastic, possibly the best milkshake I've ever had.

The restaurant offers a variety of options such as burgers, chicken, lobster rolls, and tuna rolls. They also have soft serve and hard ice creams available in approximately 15 different flavors, including banana splits. The quality of the ice cream is exceptional, but the overall food is just average. The prices are on the higher side, and the dining area's tables and chairs are always sticky and dirty. However, the location is good, making it worth a stop.

I have driven past this charming ice cream burger joint numerous times and have always been impressed by its picturesque location. After months of craving a milkshake and burger, I finally stopped in at Maces Snack Bar. The first thing that caught my eye, aside from the stunning views, was the exceptional customer service. As a former mechanic and automotive service advisor, I understand the importance of providing top-notch service, and the team at Maces truly exceeded my expectations. They listened to me as I rambled on about my day and made me feel valued. Not to mention, the food, ice cream, shakes, and everything else on the menu is absolutely delicious! And let's not forget about the breathtaking views as well!

A hidden gem located off highway 1 in the countryside of Maine! There are no other establishments nearby.

The ice cream was fantastic! The portion sizes of the food were definitely worth the price.
