THE. BEST. BAGELS. outside of NYC ???!! Mr. Man totally loves that they have pork roll/Taylor ham. If you plan on traveling with some bagels and bringing some back home with yo touristy self (13/10 recommend!! , come prepared with a buncha buncha Ziplocs, lest you wind up at home with garlic chones lol
Originally patronized the other store where my husband brought home goodies of bagels and now, our favorite, the Rugula. This branch is nearer, plus, Stanley Market offers more convenience in terms of parking. Indoor and outdoor dining, store hours great, with early opening and quite late-r hours than the usual diner hours. Have to admit, have not tried their pizza but, always go for the bagels and Rugula. Tried their the Heart Attack sandwich and was expecting more pork belly than what was in it.
Had to get the basic bacon egg and cheese to compare to New York City? closest I have had outside of the tri state area. I had a few issues with my cold brew order. Got to sample the chocolate babka while waiting in line tasted like it was missing some of the magic of NYC. Also tasted my friends cream cheese with lox and capers, the parsley was a bit overwhelming surprisingly. Overall, these are bagels I?m willing to go back and enjoy. I wish they had some gluten free options for my wife.
Had a quick dinner here the other night. It was pretty good, but not my ideal pizza as I like a bit more heft with my crust and this was a very thin crust. I prefer a crunchy and chewy sourdough crust, but for what this was, it was very good. Staff was fairly young and a bit too focused on each other and their phones (go figure ? , but not that bad. One of the younger kids actually came out and walked around asking how things tasted, so that was impressive! All in all it was good and I would grab a bite here in the future. It didn't make my favorites but that had more to do with the crust type than anything. Give them a try.
