We asked to sit in the corner when we first came there, and after the restaurant was filled up, I was practically screaming at my partner. Dinner was moderate. The steak had big spices and butter, but that was to cover the inferior cut, in my opinion. Jalapeño Corn Brûlée could have been brilliant if not so much sugar was mixed. Overall not super impressed, the noise levels really killed the experience, especially as it was out anniversary.
Tables were really close together and felt like we were on top of the table next to us. We also asked for fans to be on, but it took like 20 mins and by that time we were ready to leave. Service was great!
Unless something has changed the $185/couple price point doesn't include the salads or desert as I was charged for them individually. $185 turned to 220+ quickly. The steak was rare not medium and the whipped potatoes are mashed at best. Not creamy at all. The food was also served cold. The hot plate the steak and lobster came on was not warm at all. The best part was the chocolate covered strawberries but again they were extra cost. A very forgettable Valentine's day dinner overall.
Love Carve. The food is always excellent and the service is too.
The food was fine. We had the filet and lobster. The filet was OK, but seemed like an average steak, not the fine cut it should have been. Lobster was cooked just right. Both were served with unidentified sauces that we never figured out. Something mayonaissy that was exceptionally bland and maybe a butter sauce that was more oily, although it did have a truffle quality. The mashed potatoes were over whipped and bland. Probably the best thing were the fresh roasted vegetables. We each had the wedge salad. Mine was drowned in dressing, but my husband's was just right.
