I ordered the basil fried rice with tofu but received onion fried rice instead for $15. After eating what little tofu and vegetables were in the dish (mostly onions), I found it lacking in other ingredients. There were only 3 strips of red bell pepper, about 8 pieces of mushroom (possibly only 3 whole button mushrooms), and 5 cubes of tough and spongy tofu. The dish did not have much basil flavor, except for 3 basil leaves. Despite being interested in trying this restaurant for some time, I was disappointed by the lackluster food experience. On a positive note, the person at the register was friendly and there was ample parking and seating available.
I had a great experience at the Picnic Park restaurant, where Coat and Thai served delicious food with a nice ambiance. The service was fast and friendly. I tried the N2 dish with chicken, which had the perfect balance of spices and heat. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back. Overall rating: 5/5 for the food.
The service was excellent, staff were friendly, and the Thai food in Austin is the best. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food receives a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
Wow! It's true this is the best pad thai I've had in while! Definitely the best I've had in Austin! I ordered chicken pad thai and crab rangoons. Both were exceptional. If you like great pad thai this place should scratch your itch. So curious what else is delicious here??
