Freedmen's - Austin

This place has the best brisket in town in my opinion, and I love the whiskey specials.

...in Central Austin, without standing in line, this is your place! Great food, a building almost as old as the dirt it's standing on, and friendly service.

Celebrated Father's day with BBQ. We had never been before and it was overall pretty good althoughout we had to sit outside and it was rather hot and a bit windy. I wouldn't say this is a great place to bring your entire family (i.e. Kids).

In the evening, some of the Freedman's signature dishes were gone. Wonderful food, big veranda. Anyway, it's worth going back.

The server was super -bread a bowl of water for Daisy pulled us to a table with a screen Great food -I live in Houston - I will travel back to Dine at Freedman's
