Stout Stroganoff was a little salty but still delicious with a good balance of meat, mushrooms and potatoes. The new Fish Chips (Mon Night Special was a great addition to the menu. The fish (Cod tasted fresh and served with many garlic-pommes frites. The half pound angus burger is one of the best in town. Get it boiled medium with bacon and Huntsman cheese (blue cheddar blend and you will thank me! It is $12.70 with bacon, but enough to share with someone (proposed to add a side salad). The Calamari has not changed to share a great appetizer. You have now fried oysters(! but were from the day we visited. The new kale arugula salad is a welcome supplement with delicious beet, sweet dates, corn, feta cheese and a light vinaiigrette. I don't drink much beer, but my husband can testify that her beers are always good (he gets his breeders filled there).
Solid pizzas and a well rounded menu and decent beverage list makes this a worthwhile visit when in these parts. What amazes me a bit is that even with such an extensive menu there is care taken in the preparation of each item and that shows in the flavor and tastes. Pizzas have fresh ingredients and are well balanced, though slightly underseasoned (a pinch of salt on the vegetable toppings would elevate them IMHO) and the mussels are a must get.
The happy hour 4-7 is very good I recommend the artichoke dip and the Mediterranean meet balls. Many craft beer options and cocktails. There is restaurant service too and outdoor seating. Friendly staff.
Food was amazing, parking lot is big and the restaurant is bright, beautiful and clean. However, the staff was disappointing. Went there a Friday night and the restaurant wasn’t even crowded, we had to wait for almost 10 mins for the waiter to come to the table and we had to grab a drink menu from another table. Cocktails were good and we didn’t have to wait much for the food, finished the food but after that waiter disappeared again for at least 15 mins. Asked a busboy (that didn’t speak English) to get him and he finally showed up with our bill. 7/10
Still a nice place, but it seems to have come down a notch. The garlic bulbs are no longer squeezed over French bread, they come already peeled for you to spread over pita bread, and the goat cheese is now a goat cheese flavored cream. Not bad, but I would say it is at least a notch down. The roasted duck still good, but the polenta, well, is not really polenta anymore. It is a mashed something, not horrible, but definitely not polenta.
