Thundercloud Subs - Austin

I just had a sandwich, and both my boyfriend and I ordered the large size. However, my bread was much thinner than his; I’m not sure if they accidentally gave me a small. The main problem was that I ordered tuna, but there was only about a tablespoon of tuna on the entire sandwich. It felt more like a garnish than the main ingredient. I spent $10 and still left feeling hungry.

This place easily deserves a 5-star rating, and it's not because of any fancy decor. The food is consistently delicious and exudes the relaxed vibe of old Austin. I find myself coming here at least once a week, even though I pass by two other dedicated sub shops on my way.

Incredible food, great music, and a fantastic atmosphere! I've been in Austin since 1982, and I've seen a lot of changes. My old friend Tim O'Connor and I used to come here for a quick bite and to chat about music. If you're visiting from out of town and looking for a quick and satisfying meal, this is a delicious sandwich that truly has soul. I give it 5 stars!

Everything you want from a simple sandwich shop. The servers are always friendly and easy going. The sandwiches are simple yet delicious. I'm personally a big fan of their avocado spread.

Don't bother going to the North Burnet Road location until they get their staffing problems resolved. Heads up manager. I waited for 15 minutes today and the line did not move as only one person was trying to make sandwiches and he talked constantly instead of preparing sandwiches. Two women behind the counter were doing something other than making sandwiches. It was a cluster. 11/14/23 1:30 pm.
