True Food Kitchen - Austin

That was my second time here and my guests for the first time. we asked to sit outside on the terrace as it was covered and there were fans. our waiter stopped right after sitting. I told her we need a few minutes to look over the menu, and she offered us to bring water. 20 minutes passed and no waiter and no water. it was brutally hot. I went in to look for our waiter and noticed that she finally brought our water to our table. the water had no ice and was room temperature. fascinated her down and asked for big tassen ice cream for everyone. at this time our food was delivered and we were thirsty and drowned. the ventilator over us had been possible at the lowest speed because there was no brise offered. I still process the water without ice. eating was hot and tasty unfortunately we ate fast and had to cooler places. it should be a note on the terrace that the guests get ice in their water and are delivered water to the table moments after sitting. we will try true foods next time.

Overall is fair! no scotch of any kind is available. very strange for a restaurant with bar.

The service of tomas at the bar was excellent. he took the time to connect with us with real hospitality. hang down the best service we ever had at their location, he made us feel like we were masters, even though he had never served us before. side: women bad needs some maintenance: broken door handle (I gave it to a worker), chip / torn hand washers, dust hate, etc.

Good food, reliable service! Chef even prepped some food special for my dietary needs.

Good service and nice outdoor patio. The food was only fair. Vegan double cheeseburger: the patty was dry, the toppings were good, the bun should have been toasted. Kale salad as a side was delicious. Spinach mushroom pizza--soggy and flavorless.
