We encourage more residents of Australind to visit and support our local small businesses. The fried rice balls are a must-try!
The food at this restaurant is exquisite and tastes like a true reflection of the country it originates from. The service is very friendly and welcoming to children. They also offer takeaway options. The prices are great, and I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
I decided to try out this recently opened local restaurant to support hardworking Australians who are willing to take risks in a new area. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of menu choices and impressed by their willingness to accommodate our special requests. Although the atmosphere was a bit lacking due to its newness, it was perfect for having an intimate chat with a friend. Keep up the great work! One suggestion: consider changing the plastic water jugs as they don't quite match the otherwise tasteful decor and overall presentation of the restaurant.
We definitely won't be going back here. The food was very ordinary to say the least, in fact we picked at it and than just left. Had the seafood pad thai, but the description would be stretching it for sure. Went home and had something to eat after. The man who served us was quite friendly, on a positive note.
I don 't know how two people can provide such a wide range of cuisines in a tiny restaurant like this, and for the number hours that they 're open. Something has to give... We were there on a Monday night, and were the only seated customers (a couple of people came in for takeout food). My partner ordered the Honey (chilli) Pork, and I ordered the Royal Spicy Chicken, both from the Chinese section of the extensive menu. Instead of being served with a mound of fried rice as is typical Chinese style, we got three deep fried rice balls each, which seemed odd, especially as they were unable to absorb any sauce and thus were fairly tasteless. The Honey (chilli) Pork comprised deep fried mouthfuls of pork, which wasn 't mentioned on the menu, and so was a surprise (we typically don 't eat fried food). My Royal Spicy Chicken had heaps of flavour, but there wasn 't a lot of it. In fact, there wasn 't a lot of food at all for the price (both dishes were about $16 each) and my husband insisted on getting a foot long Subway roll afterwards!! 'Taste ' has taste all right, but it 's lacking in serving size for the price. I think it 's trying to do too much and be too many things to too many people cuisines covered by the menu range from Italian to Malaysian to Indian, to Chinese, to roast pork! There are at least 50 items on the menu and that must be very hard to cater for. One other thing... They didn 't have any wine glasses so we had to drink our BYO wine from thick glass tumblers.
