La Banette - AVALON BEACH

The baguettes at this restaurant are excellent, with a very French taste and texture. However, I had negative experiences with the staff at the Mona Vale location on two separate occasions. I will not be returning there, and would prefer to drive to the Avalon outlet instead.

The closest to a French Baguette that we have had in Australia. Excellent pastries and cakes though they are quite expensive

Bought 2 beef bourguignon pies. They were very full of beef stew, with tight pastry case outside. The filling was very meaty, with almost no gravy and not too much rich beef taste . Quite disappointing. Not a purchase choice we will repeat.

We love pretty much everything at Banette. But we have to say a big thanks for this amazing birthdaycake for our daughter today. It was layered, light, creamy, just perfect

Ok bakery. The baguette was soft on the outside and harder inside. The croissant had seemingly no butter both had an unusual taste, which for the croissant seemed a bit like the oily taste of vegan croissant. Cheap for the northern beaches though.
