We had read before we went to catalina island to not expect much from the food scene. what we read was more than correct. seaport bistro was terrible. the restaurant ambiente was not present, it looks to run down and fall down. the staff was good, friendly and friendly. that was terrible. when my man asked the hostess about the duck special, she made a face and said interesting. we should have picked up the note. it was so bad that it was not possible, my man sent it back to nothing to eat, because I ordered the tagine with garnelen, fully expected spicy and taste, and there was none. it was bland and tasteless. the wine list is very small, and the bottle we ordered was not very good, we left more than half a bottle on the table. we would definitely not return to this restaurant.
We took a day trip to santa catalina and a short taxi ride brought us to the restaurant. we chose to eat outside a beautiful evening and it was great. everyone enjoyed their eating; service was fast. in the did, the staff was fast to shadow for our table. we agreed that we would return.
Eating is boring. I had the duck breast that tasted gravy as if it came from a dose and tasted like brown dose engraving. in any case was not escaped or other identifiable creature. I was very disappointed at eating. the service was friendly, the atmosphere was more like a cafeteria than a beautiful restaurant. I don't understand why someone rave over this place. it was far too expensive, I suggest to avoid many much better places close to the beach.
