Contribuisci feedbackCongenial and very helpful staff. Unique, delicious, and satisfying dishes. Aveiro has a high level of cuisine, but try this when other restaurants start to seem too similar. We had Miso soup, and tempura appetizers, and duck and pork mains.
The portions are good for tapas, the food is flavorful and creative, and the price is reasonable. My favorite is the salad and the cod in a jar. The wine is great too! Good value for 2,50€ a glass! The space is as creative and original as the food and its presentation.
I went for a dinner with my wife and my daughter and a couple of friends. I’ve tried to book through Fork app, but I’ve received a email it was not possible to dinner that evening. OMG, I’ve sent a text message confirming we will have dinner over there... I’m F@ I decided to call, fingers crossed... perfect. They will arrange a table for the 5 of us. We arrived just in time. Open arms to receive us among with nice atmosphere and nice music... My friends just arrived meantime we were studying the menu. Everybody has happy with chef’s tasting menu and a hamburger for my daughter. What’s the chef tasting menu, it was my question... Only the chef knows what it will be served! We started with fresh local oysters. Missed the pearl to be perfect. White ceviche with perfect balance of freshness, citrus and spice. Tuna tataki it was our 2nd fish platter. Good one. Duck meat between puff pastry and green apple sauce. Nice portion and well balanced flavors. Braised quail legs and breast, on a bed of celery cream. The meat it cooked in perfection. To finish... a delicious lime cream. A perfect ending. Every time I’ve looked to my neighbors dishes they were well served portion, with a careful presentation. The less positive point the price . Conclusion: a place to visit again and to recommend to friends.
I went to dinner with my wife and daughter. For some time now, being from the center of Aveiro, I had been curious to try the cuisine of Armazém da Alfândega. There was no chance before the pandemic, it was now. I'm just saying, what I've been putting off. A menu with a strong Japanese component, but tailored to the Mediterranean palate... wonderful and with everything made from scratch. From starters to main course and a fabulous dessert, everything was really good. I paid €89 for all three, but it was worth every penny. I would like to leave a word of appreciation to the lady who attended us, but I did not remember to question the name, who is the owner of a unique friendliness and cordiality and who received us very well, always taking great care during dinner. I really liked it... I'll be back.
Totally enjoyed lunch at this great restaurant. Tapas at its best. Small serves and a glass of wine served with a friendly smile. Well done
