Blu Alehouse Woodbridge - Avenel

We were sitting for minutes before we were even approached by our server for drinks which took another minutes. At that point we ordered our food w our drinks for fear of the server leaving and not coming back for another minutes. She had only one other table she was waiting on at the time. In that time, other tables were sat and served appetizers and drinks by another server yet we still sat w an empty table. The food finally came out after we'd been there for over an hour. Not once did the server come to the table to check if we needed more drinks or apologize for the wait of give us an update on our food. When the food came out, it was accompanied by the manager who did not immediately address us w an apology. She had an attitude because we were upset that it had taken so long. The server ended up walking away, still no apology. Even the apology we got from the manager didn't seem very sincere. The only thing the manager did right was comp our meal. We paid for our bottle of wine and that was it. Not sure I'll be going back even though the food was good that we had to take in to go containers immediately because we had somewhere to be and only allotted hours for our meal

We were quite pleased with our visit to the Blu Alehousethe selection of beers are good, a variety vs some places that have a concentration on a single style of beer. The food was good and the atmosphere enjoyable. The big tv panels were oriented and placed well for enjoying the events displayed

I went there with some friends for a birthday and the waiter I had was great but the food wasn't that good I did want to change my order to order something else but the night manager Andrea was horrible while my fiance explained to her that issue with the food she got an attitude and walked away while we were in midsentence as a manager myself I would first introduce myself as the manager and ask how was the food and if there was a problem apologize and begin to offer something else the manager had a friend that she was eating with a couple seats down and her friend begin to argue with a friend of mine when he let the manager know that she was rude for walking away and and being rude with us I would not return

Both of our dinners were cooked perfectly and we’re delicious. Server Matt was very courteous and efficient
