Avoca Sands - AVOCA BEACH

Dined at Avoca Sands Cafe last week for lunch and was impressed by the courteous and helpful staff and the fantastic food. I sampled the Calamari Prawn Salad with Sweet Potato Chips and my companion had the Quesadilla. All was delicious and served with a surprisingly good, fresh salad. Will definitely be returning with others now that I've sampled the menu and I found pricing quite reasonable and the sheltered view over the beach was great. Many thanks for the highlight of my day. *Highly recommended.

We had breakfast here today and about 3 weeks ago, was sooo good. Generous serves, perfectly cooked eggs, great flavours. Awesome coffee and you cannot get a better view anywhere on the Coast.

This is the best cafe in Avoca. The staff are always smiling and happy, even first thing in the morning. Carl makes the best coffee for miles around and really knows his stuff when it comes to the different types of coffee beans. Their food is totally scrumptious, I’ve loved everything I’ve eaten there. Well done. Keep up the good work.

A great cafe right on Avoca Beach. Makes a great cup coffee and has a great menu. I suggest the Eggs Benedict. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food comes out quickly. The views of beach are great. It is reasonably priced.

Great spot. This place does not pretend to be anything more than it is. And what it is, is a great cafe, serving good food in a wonderful location. We reserved a table to be sure we could dine there after an hour and forty drive from N/West Sydney. The table was waiting, on the main deck, menus were given within a minute of sitting down, we ordered drinks which arrived minutes later, when we ordered our food. The cafe was packed, and the staffed seemed well drilled. Our meals arrived in about 30 minutes or so, well cooked and delicious. I thought for a packed restaurant, 30 minutes was pretty good. We spent 90 minutes at the table, talking and looking at the beach. What a great lunch. Yes it is more expensive than some other places with similar food, but I guess the overheads in that premium location need to be paid for, and I'll be back for more, because it is one of the best casual cafes I've been to, and with its location, it's hard to go past. Coffee is pretty good too.
