My only complaint would be that my dishes were too sweet. I was in Thailand several times and the food is not so sweet. Maybe it was adapted to the American palate, but I just wanted a bit, but more authenticity.
Authenticity I think Thai food. Serene atmosphere. Great ambience. Friendly staff. A great Thai restaurant. I would rate this as Top 5 Thai restaurants in Hartford Metro area. I was there on some occasions. I would recommend a friend
Great and friendly service. Excellent tom kha soup, pretty good pad thai. Not to the sauce they used, but still pretty good.
The food was so good, I just had to write a review! I sat down and had lunch and ordered a bubble tea and the Pangang Curry with chicken from the lunch menu. I LOVE Curry and prefer it as hot as possible. For less than $15 I had a wonderful lunch in a quiet, quiet environment. Thank you.
In my opinion, Ekkalak has some of the best Thai food you’ll find anywhere. I’ve tried Thai places all over, and this spot is one of my favorite restaurants, period. It’s a family operation that’s run by really nice people, and you can tell that they pride themselves on always using high quality ingredients and serving delicious, beautiful food, especially when you go for the house specialties. I used to live down the street and order takeout a few times a month, and now I’ve moved away but always stop by whenever I’m back in town. They do a great takeout operation, and if you want to eat there I recommend going on a nice day where you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the ridge with Heublein tower. My favorites include all of their Thai curries, the Thai salads, and any of their noodle dishes.
