Le Tavaillon - Avoriaz

I have watched a game with a friend who has cheated in the world cup. the natives were not happy and decided to throw us out and pfeffer sprayed us! never expected it to be violated only for watching the opposite team! would not recommend going...if not a local!

I came to lunch and ordered a burger. that was in the middle of the ski season. the brotbunker had green form on it (see my pictures). Even if the place is a small pub, it felt that it was a...good clean and some good hygiene practices placed in place! the service was friendly, but that was completely overshadowed by the bad food standard.

Have visited this little bar several times whilst skiing over the past 9 years. Was impressed to see the place had been given a brighten up and the staff were most attentive. The burgers chips were amazing!!! €12 for a huge burger and the...most delicious twice/thrice cooked chips! Just off the slopes and great beer. Staff speak good English also although they are very patient with the tourist French!

The Tav has a great atmosphere where the bar staff and owner are exceptionally helpful. It's the only place in Avoriaz (or possibly France) where you will find home made chips rather than the frozen variety. than once I asked for something that wasn't...on the menu and the chef (and Luca) were only too happy to oblige. A great pub with great facilities and staff.

Bon ! Clairement, c'est un endroit que j'adore. Il faut aimer la simplicité, la bonne bière (La Chouffe, bien sûr !), les tapas, le rock and roll et les images des sports extrêmes qui défilent en boucle sur les écrans. Le patron est super et le personnel aussi. Je retourne à Avo cet hiver et j'irais bien sûr au Tavaillon ! Si vous avez envie d'un dessert, vous pouvez aussi aller en acheter un à la boulangerie juste à côté (boulangerie qui fait du pain, (comment dire ?) , "ultime" !
