The bar and restaurant area of this hotel are stunning with all the dark swiss larch everywhere. Sadly the bedrooms were a bit plain in comparison to this. They were fine and clean but just not beautiful like the downstairs of the hotel. Our bedroom had a sink in it but no toilet or shower so we had to share these but it wasnt a problem as I think they were only shared between a couple of rooms. The Pizzas in the restaurant are delicious and well worth having but I think if you choose to go Half Board you wont get this option. On the plus side the costs of the room were not expensive so we would probably stay here if we came again.
The Hotel Le Trift was place we stayed while hiking a detoured version of the walkers Haute Route. Nestled in the little village of Zinal, this wonderfully hip hotel/ restaurant is run by a lovely couple! That's what gave this place it's defining personality! You couldn't help but feel welcome! The rooms were clean, tidy, and decorated with knotty pine decor. The bedding snd extra large towels were a . The rooms had their own sink and mirror but no toilet. That was the only drawback for me. We had one shower/bathroom per floor. Other than that, it was a delightful place to stay. Typical breakfast of bread, homemade yummy jams, cereal , etc... Homemade croissants each morning ! . The pizza is also very good and worth ordering ! If you have a chance, take the hike to the hotel Weisshorn! We would definitely stay here again!!!
Nice excellent food charming people really a nice address Fondue excellent we arrived late they were charming and still cooked
Family cuisine, perfect after a day skiing. I found it a bit overpriced, but again, Zinal is a rather expensive location.
That was probably the best restaurant in Zinal. It doesn't look much from the outside and the bar is a little drab, but the dining room is much more comfortable and more attractive. Service was excellent and the menu is varied and much more interesting than the rather 'standard' menus available elsewhere in the village. The calf Cordon bleu was excellent and good (for Swiss prices! . Indeed, this was the best price meal we had in our week in Zinal. Most pleasant.
