La Luce Ayr

La Luce exceeded all our expectations. The warm welcome and exceptional service made our experience truly special for all eight of us. The value was excellent, and it was clear that the chef is truly skilled. This is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who appreciates top-notch dining, outstanding service, and great value. I would rate it a perfect 10/10, and we look forward to returning soon! I’ve also heard the desserts are fantastic!

I had made two reservations for a family birthday, but both times I received a text message two hours before our meal to let me know that the restaurant would be closed. I was very disappointed and don't think I'll be inclined to try again.

The hostess was incredibly polite and friendly without being overly familiar, which can sometimes be off-putting. We had to cancel our previous reservation at the last minute due to a sick family member, but they were very understanding and allowed us to rebook. The Fungi starter was outstanding and beautifully presented, unlike anything we've had at our favorite restaurant in Ayr. We will definitely be returning, as it's perfect for a variety of occasions. We went for a date night, but we also noticed young families and groups of colleagues dining there, making it suitable for everyone. However, if you have mobility issues, it's a good idea to call ahead and request a table on the ground floor.

Once again a most pleasant meal and experience in la luce we had all clearly needed the results of my wife on a breast cancer operation without further treatment and could not think of a better place to celebrate this excellent news.

Good food with good service on a quiet November night. Very attentive staff and not your run of the mill Italian. You won't get Tesco's garlic bread here. A good selection of wines at reasonable prices. Nobody went home hungry. Would definitely go back.
