Lots of venues would not take our booking but Jimmy's Farm were very accommodating right from our initial approach. Food was good, service too, everyone enjoyed their meal, the barn also is lovely. Thank you to Chris and his team for all their hard work to ensure our little celebration went so smoothly.
I cannot recommend this hidden gem highly enough! We were looking for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning dog walk and Jimmy's farm restaurant was suggested. We phoned ahead and were informed that breakfast was served until 11.30 am and that dogs were most welcome. Upon arrival we chose to sit on one of the many tables outside as it was so warm and we had 3 dogs. Upon going inside to find menus etc we were told that if we preferred we could sit inside, dogs were welcome. We remained outside however, and placed our orders, 3 x full English, pot of tea, coffees and we asked for some tap water as it was so warm after our walk. A!most instantly three glasses of the coldest water arrived, complete with lemon and environmentally friendly straws. These were followed almost immediately by the hot drinks and then the food. And what a plateful! 2 farm pork sausages, farm bacon, black pudding, tomato, beans, mushrooms, 2 fried eggs and toast. It was absolutely delicious and there was so much of it and very reasonably priced at £12.95 considering it contained such fresh, locally sourced homemade produce. The staff were welcoming, happy and polite and as attentive as if we had been sitting inside. The barn that the restaurant is situated in has been beautifully converted and is bright and spacious and you don't have to pay to enter the farm to use the restaurant. The toilets are amazing, very clean and tastefully decorated. We will most definitely be back and make this one of our weekend dog walking routes. There are public footpaths from Pinewood that lead right in to the farm car park so no need to go on the road at all. Perfect!
I have visited Jimmy's farm a few times but I always make sure that I come to the restaurant. I have only had wonderful food and wonderful service. They have always been accommodating and mindful of children too. I would always recommend to book ahead to save any disappointment because it can get busy but that doesn't hinder the service. I have always made a note to have a highchair and there has always been one available even if the restaurant is full.
2 adult meals, 1 child for £45+ 2 adult hotdogs (1 vegan) with some chips. No salad garnish, just very beige looking. Definitely not worth the £12+ Should have ordered a kids meal as it looked much more appetising. Drinks were expensive. I knew the restaurant was a bit more pricey but expected so much more. Paid in cash, felt the waitress was cheeky asking if I wanted my change. Won't be heading back any time soon.
What a good place to visit. It had everything you expected to be there and there was plenty to do and see. Had a superb lunch too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Jimmy's farm.
