The Riverside Bar Restaurant - Babergh

Great atmosphere, good food, good price. the change in the own and in the decor is a joy. good place for a relaxed eating that observes the flow at work. the personal is always pleasant and helpful. always a pleasure to see the restaurant full of returning patrons that was never the case under the previous property.

Our first visit since riverside has its new own, new look new menu. very impressed menu offers a good selection of food. not too expensive. lava stone steaks are beautiful, they cannot complain about how they are cooked! the burger pizza do not appeal to me especially, but they seem to be popular. the personal is especially sainey, for which nothing is too much annoyed. we'll be back soon.

Robin collindales evaluation is totally müll and slanderous. he can't be persecuted. must be the opposition. as they say. if you can't beat them, slander them. the riversides full menu is always freshly cooked to order and now served in a clean refreshed restaurant and bar. the company has spent 30,000 pounds on the well needed renovation and the work starts soon on the outdoor decking area ready for the summer. the menu is intended for everyone. not the few that eat is edible, the staff is polite and there is always a warm welcome. What do you want?

Arrived at 11am for coffee to find it did not open until 12 it was BH Sunday the hottest day and nowhere to get a drink even water. What a stunning view but oh dear the terrace was dirty, tables not cleaned off from the night before and dirty glasses piled up on one table not taken in and cleaned from last night. Several people arrived who were all dismayed it was closed. We were meeting friends and when they arrived it was still not open. When it did open there was no enthusiasm, tables were not cleaned off and open two sun parasols put out. We were surprised that the food was OK but only the usual all served with chips. Crab salad and prawns would have been nice. Presentation has a lot to do with catering in this day and age and this place has none which is a shame as you couldn't wish for a better view.
