They offer a wide variety of cakes, pastries, and bread. The new owners mentioned that there will be some renovations happening soon, but I will definitely be returning. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant. We were seated and waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches, nothing too complicated. The coffee was mediocre at best. We then waited another 45 minutes for our food, while the table next to us, who arrived after us, got their full English breakfasts before us. When our food finally arrived, the waitress just held it out to us without speaking or placing it on the table. There was no social interaction at all. The food itself was just okay, nothing special. I would not go back here and I would not recommend it to anyone. Overall, the whole experience was very disappointing.
Disappointing. The place was grubby. Walking up the stairs to the restaurant I should have turned around and walked out. The staff were great but the food was pedestrian and the coffee was appalling
We went Friday again on Saturday during out brief stay in Sudbury. Really great selection of buns, cakes etc. Very friendly good staff. We will make a point of going again.
Out of all the lovely small coffee shops in Sudbury we unfortunately decided to try this one being one of the newer ones and an established bakers . Thankfully we decided to share a cheese scone and also ordered a large cappuccino and a small one , as we sat at the table in the window , I noticed how scruffy the place looked and lots of crumbs and flaky pastry all around the floor under our table . Our order came very quickly and I was shocked to see a very large , pale , sad looking excuse of a scone , not very appealing , then we tried it , absolutely no flavour and very dry , we then tried the cappuccinos which had no coffee flavour at all , more like warm milk . We decided not to stay and left the uneaten scone and half drunk coffees and paid £10.00 for this sad offering I had to query the price as amazed but yes it was correct , £3.50 for the scone , £3.50 large coffee and £3.00 for the small one absolutely Shocking! So we won’t be visiting here again instead we will be using some of the smaller lovely coffee shops which we know can to do both !
