Restaurant Curtea Veche - Bacău

A group of 6 of us ate at Curtea Veche on a recommendation from a Romanian colleague. It is difficult to find directly on the main road (but opposite the Manhattan Pizza Bar) and is in the basement. Really friendly staff that could not have done to make us feel at home. We shared 2 meat plates, a hot and a cold wide selection of different Romanian specialties and we couldn't finish them so, quantity and quality is great. In fact, we went back 2 nights later with a larger group (20) and copied them without a hitch.

A good place to eat, far from the road cars. Pleasant atmosphere, good pizza, great prices. Not for different types of beer.

It's a very beautiful place. Has an interesting decor inside that looks like an old fortress. The waitress was nice to move us from inside to the tables when 1 was available. The food has a great taste and made good. We ordered mixed grill for 2 but was enough for 3 people ....maybe 4. The restaurant is centrally located between the theatre and the mayor's house. Also it was a good price for food and wine and probably we will return there when we go to Arad.
