Casa Amihan - Bacong

We read that the food here was the best in the district. Written in the lonely planet guide. We were really looking forward to this. Unfortunately a lot has changed since the last reviews on trip advisor and since the written recommendation in the LP guide. The fish was lovely. Very tasty. However it was just this on its own. The pork chops were anemic and fried. Chips were from a frozen packet. It was something like you would have in happy eater. Actually worse Onion rings were anemic also. An expensive lesson. Added other items to our bill which we noticed fortunately. Great bit of fish. Everything else was quite appalling. Shame...sounded like it was once a great place.

The restaurant offers excellent, flavorful, and freshly prepared dishes. They have a wide variety of appetizers and entrees to choose from, including Filipino cuisine and a diverse selection of seafood. The staff is also friendly and provides fast service.

All the good reviews are 100% true: this is an exceptional good place to eat! The food is super delicious and excellently prepared. We had dinner here, choosing for the highly recommended ‘fish kinilaw’ as our main course, starting off with springrolls filled with tuna, and finishing with the sweet banana ‘turon’ for dessert. Everything tasted absolutely fantastic. Respect for the chef! Furthermore the Casa Amihan has an intimate and romantic ambience, with a tropical garden setting and great views over the sea. It’s just a small place, quietly located at the end of a dirt road, near a stretch of white sanded beach. It’s a bit hard to get here, but you will be rewarded by the best food you might eat during your whole vacation in the Philippines. Very reasonable prices. Very friendly service.

Went there for a lunch and finally stayed for the rest of the day. The restaurant was incredible and the best, the guy in charge (Rey). Impressive location, super clean. Everything awesome. We’re gonna repeat for sure!

We had dinner with friends that were staying there and went to eat on their recommendation. The menu was great with lots of choices, I had the squid and it was awesome and they had Australian wine at a very reasonable price. I was so impressed with the dinner I went back for breakfast the next morning which was delicious
