We sat out on the sidewalk twice, where there really shouldn't even be tables, and once at the bar, because we did not have reservations. Service was sporadic....we had to...ask for bread one night, even though the other nights it was given to us. The two waiters were extremely busy, hustling back and forth in very much of a rush. There were also a lot of black flies, which we expect outside, but not inside. The reason we went back was because the food was good, and we were unsure of other restaurants. They would do well to have more wait staff, and ditch the tables out on the sidewalk (there is a patio area, which looked very nice, though the waiters had to walk out the front door, past our sidewalk tables to access.....seemed like an awkward setup.
We had the good luck to find this restaurant thanks to the recommendation of a local resident. It is very popular and I suggest a reservation. We enjoyed fresh antipasto, you can select any number of varieties displayed in a case near the entrance. Our...group of four had pasta and fish entrees. All of them prepare perfectly. It was a wonderful evening with excellent service even with a full restaurant. We look forward to our next visit!
Friendly welcome and at least 2 english speakers. Asked for a recommendation on the starter which came as a mixed Tapas style starter with squid, prawns, olives, the obligatory sauerkraut and much more. Good sized portions and great freshly made thin and crispy pizzas as...well as a good enough selection of fish, meat and poultry. Reasonably priced at about 25 euro ish a head including 3 of the best wheat beers I have tasted. Complimentary Grappa to finish and I was ready for bed. Great spot
We have visited this restaurant over a number of years and it never fails to deliver. it is not authentically Italian but produces the sort of food that encapsulates the love that Italian cooking wraps up in the delicious dishes that arrive in front of the hungry diner. an example is the fish soup which is a deep red bowl of chunky lip smacking deliciousness, the liquor has a depth of flavour that only comes from long slow cooking and the fish retains its shape and texture. we also sampled the fish of the day which was a brill pan fried to perfection and a delivery that many specialist fish restaurants would be proud to produce and not one that you expect from a town in the deepest south of Germany. service was friendly swift and attentive. prices ridiculously reasonable. most visitors receive a complimentary drink to finish the meal. a must for anyone dining in this area.
They have very average Italian food. Owners are not Italian but pretend to be. The usual menu! However the service is good, and there is not much choice in the town.
