Thanks to all in the team for the wonderful time we had at schartenfels! it was impeccable! it was for a celebration, and we got a beautiful view space! that was amazing. that was so delicious! everything was lovely. the service. was perfect, and they were so friendly and let us so welcome! we will go again so that we can enjoy their services and the good food at schartenfels! we wish them all good and thank them for our beautiful experience. Schloss Schartenfels restaurant situated high on the hills in Wettingen offers fantastic views over the surrounding area and has a warm and friendly ambiance. The food is very good and artfully presented. The service is friendly and profecional. I can highly recommend this reastaurant to...anyone who want a great night out.

Food was really good and the steak I took was really really good, perfectly aged and cooked. Selection of wines are just to my liking. What else can I say? The place is, yeah it is a castle so it is high up in a hill and a narrow road up but from there you can view an entire valley.

We hadn't been back to Schartenfels for several years so were looking forward to an enjoyable dinner with friends. The outdoor restaurant has a wonderful ambience and its location high above Baden/Wettingen offers wonderful views over the old town of Baden to the right and towards Zurich to the left. Unfortunately we found the food to be disappointing. The green salad with too much house dressing was too large and lacked the expected lightness and freshness. Each of the 3 different main courses served was disappointing. The veal steak had surprisingly a lot of fat on it and the best thing about the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes was the rösti (hash browns.) The veal meat was not thinly sliced but chunks of meat and the cream sauce was thick and not very tasteful.
