La comida era muy normalita, la verdad esque las patatas a la baezana me decepcionaron un poco pero la brocheta y los ochíos están buenísimos. No está nada mal y el precio no es excesivo.
One of a small number of restaurants open on a Monday around the centre of town with a terrace on the main street, sitting in the sun for lunch looked to be a good idea. The Menu Del Dia at €12 was very average in content and quality. Staring with the desert, the most flavour in the Cheese Cake was the Strawberry Sauce topping. The starter of Ceasar Salad was actually rather good but the main was a very small piece of pork, cooked well but presented with some boiled potatoes and a single slice of tomato was very poor. My wife had Swordfish from the main menu, again served solely with the same boiled potatos and single slice of tomato. A local sat at the next table had the same meal as my wife but totally different in quantity of fish. We obviously had the tourist portions. Not a restaurant we would rush back to.
That's what often happens when you visit a small town with droves of tourists. The prices in the vicinity of the main attraction are relatively high, and the staff know that the customers probably will never return. The main courses start from 10€. One was tasty, but the other one disappointing. All in all the service and quality could be better, I think. The meal of the day 12€, drink not included.
Selection of 5 starters, 5 main courses, 7 deserts incl drink and bread. At unbeatable small double digit (12) price. The food was correct. Nice salmorejo. Place under the arcades full. Mixture of tourists and locals with friends
