The waitress was English! We just had a drink in the sunshine with that view! It was a nice stop. The toilets were fine although I don’t enjoy being in the room with men using the urinal but this appears to be a French thing.
So what if the prices are grossly inflated. It’s still a great place to have a beer. Fantastic views
Cycled all the way up the tourmalet to find the resto open but only to pay €3 for a can of cola and no water available. Why bother? '
This is a welcome refuge when the weather is bad on the Tourmalet often! Not your usual cycle cafe nevertheless, customers are almost exclusively cyclists who have slogged their way up the col. A mix of experienced 'psycho ' cyclists with giant calf muscles and the rest of us. Fabulous photos of 100 years of Le Tour and a bike such as used by Octave Lapiste in 1910. Prices reflect the fact of where it is.
