My friends and I split 3 tastings and really enjoyed some of the spirits (the Rough Rider rye bourbon and the sorbettas). Some of the others were a bit too strong to enjoy straight. But overall a really cool place to visit!
Beautiful place ?, nice people , tasty booze??, overpriced tho???. The drinks cost around $15.00 each which is a bit too much.
Finally got the chance to visit after 10 years! Quite a bit has changed but its was for the better. There was great music, good food being sold by the meatball place, and fun inviting crowd. We decided to do a tasting of vodka AND whiskey. Next time I'll do a mixed drink ?
What a great experience from start to finish. The staff here are great and give awesome recommendations. My group felt so welcome and everyone had such a good time. We have been here multiple times and every time is better than the last.
When you think of LI, perhaps the Hamptons and wine country come to mind. But alas... let 's remember that LI was once potato farms. Only fitting that vodka is given it 's time to shine, especially Long Island Vodka or LIV. Pluses include being lil further West than the Hamptons. Nestled in to a nice little area of local treasures boasting wine and local grown produce. Ample parking, outside patios on both the ground/entry level and the top floor. Lots n lots of stairs- careful as you imbibe. Limited snack menu but a fresh hot pretzel to sop up your libations. Other packaged snacks available as well. Top floor tasting room featured live music, huge selection of various games, pretty cool views of the acreage/planting field behind. Be mindful of natures creatures that fly n buzz around but the tunes from the speakers, the ample selection of adult beverages and the ambiance are for a pleasurable distraction. Be advised.... While this is a distillery and drinking age of 21+.... Seems many families make the trek. Can be a little distracting when you 're trying to get your drink on or party like a rock star and you hear the pitter patter of lil feet. That said, plenty of places to escape and a down right comfy, friendly establishment. Cheers and enjoy. Ps, did the whiskey tasting x deux and appreciated many of the various flavors of the Rough Rider family. Loved the Happy!
