Cowboy Chicken - Bakersfield

The chicken was really good—not dry at all. The fried okra tasted fresh and wasn't mushy. Andrew, who was working with the chicken, was fantastic. He was super helpful and answered all of our questions. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, and I will be back!

I tried this place a couple Sundays ago. I liked it. I went in completely with an open mind. I can't give it 5 stars though. The chicken is cooked well. I liked the fired grilled and it had a unique taste. Is it the best I've ever had? No, but for a meal that is cooked very fast it's about as good as is out there available. Sides are really good as well. I really enjoyed the peach cobbler. My only criticism is the place isn't very big which means that if it is crowded it could get quite rowdy. That and the portions I wish were larger but then again you'd need to charge more than $10 a meal and I think you want to keep it at $10 on average which is a great selling point. Can't beat your price for the quality. So for that I give you a 4 out of 5. I will definitely be a returning patron. Keep it going!

Amazing food! I absolutely LOVE the sweet potatoes and the green beans cooked in olive oil and garlic. I also tried the peach cobbler. As someone with allergies, I rarely get to enjoy peach cobbler because it often contains cinnamon. But this one was perfect!
