Luigi's And Delicatessen - Bakersfield

Last night, I attended an awards event for Kern County teachers called the CTA Who Awards (We Honor Ours!). The food and service were excellent, with perfectly grilled medium rare steak. They also offered pasta with a savory sausage marinara sauce, as well as a choice of grilled chicken breast. There was only one coed restroom inside the warehouse, but the fantastic outdoor portable restrooms made up for it!

We decided to visit this restaurant on a whim for dinner, and we're so glad we did. Our server, Jessica, was a delight—her energy and personality truly enhanced our experience. We tried the hanger steak special and the pork chop, both of which were packed with amazing flavors and well worth the price. We can’t wait to return and try some other dishes. It’s a perfect spot for a date night or a family outing. Be sure to ask for Jessica!

This is a fantastic spot for socializing! The prosciutto appetizer is a must-try. It's perfect for gatherings with family and friends, and the service is excellent. The Italian main dishes are good, but I believe there’s room for improvement there.

Luigi's is a popular place, so don't expect a quiet meal, but do expect great food and drinks. There is usually a wait, short wait for groups 2-4, longer for over 4. You can wait for a table out on the patio, although space can be at a premium out there too. There are fans and misters that make eating al fresco comfortable even on a very hot Bakersfield summer day. Back to the drinks, alcoholic refreshments can be strong but still provide the right balance of flavors. The food is always good, I allow my diet to splurge with Luigi's pasta dishes on my visits. All pastas are flavorful, sauces are rich and consistent. Leave room for dessert, try the Butterfinger pie, it simply delicious in its simplicity. Highly recommended.

This is a place that doesn't care about your opinion. Because they don't need too. Service; blunt but excellent. Atmosphere; chaotic bur welcoming. Price; way to low for the quality. Food; some of the best I've ever had. I would be shocked if there wasn't some old Italian in the kitchen yelling at everybody, but also being a favorite. All the employees seemed happy to be there. I hope this place continues to thrive for many years to come
