We had a great time at the Mile High Clubhaus, enjoying the delicious fish and chips with pommes frites and some Thor's Hammer IPA beers. The service was excellent, the views were stunning, and the prices were reasonable. Hats off to the chef! (and the brewery too). It was our first time visiting Hecla Island, and we drove past the neighboring town to have lunch at Seagull's, a charming restaurant overlooking the marina. In hindsight, we wish we had stayed here for the night instead of the nearby golf resort.
When it comes to dining out, it's worth mentioning that you'll find yourself in a somewhat secluded location where prices are comparable to those in an average Canadian city, especially if it's a resort or upscale setting. Appetizers are priced starting around $14 and go up from there. While the food is creative and well-presented, it's not particularly outstanding. However, everyone in my group was satisfied, which is what matters. It's a place where you get what you pay for, and that's enough. I was pleased with my experience and would happily return in the future.
We spent our 30. Jubilee dinners at Seagull's restaurant and were so happy with the whole evening! Our meals were amazing, my husband ordered the seafood Paella and I had the rib dinner and we both loved every bite! Our server was Kimi...and she was so personal and made our evening very special by making pictures of us and serving us a very special anniversary dessert!
When eating at the restaurant the table was clean, staff were friendly, service was quick, and the food was tasty. We mostly got room service to avoid crowds and shrill children. The food arrived fast and warm. Menu has a lot of good variety.
