Ciderhuset – Butikk Og Cidersmaking

We chose to do the cider tasting and tour paired with lunch. It certainly did not disappoint. The tour was informative and it was nice that it didn't feel scripted or very commercial -there were only 6 other people in our group. The surroundings are gorgeous so it was really nice to be able to explore them a bit more. When it came time for the tasting, we were even more pleased. Both the ciders and the food were exceptional. We also loved that they were able to accommodate our vegetarian and vegan requests. We felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate this and didn't just leave items off. For my vegan daughter, they made her a beetroot dish that was unbelievable.

We did the cider tasting with lunch and it was amazing. It included a tour and many interesting stories and explanations. The food pairings were very good and of course the cider was excellent as well. We were still slightly hungry after the lunch, not large portions. But the host was charming and knowledgeable, overall well worth the money.

We reserved for a 5pm dinner and let them know ahead of time that we'd be arriving from a 4:50pm ferry. It was a 15m walk from the ferry drop off to the ciderhaust. It was a very enjoyable dinner paired with their cider at a beautiful venue. Highly recommend it if you're in the area. It was worth stopping in Balestrand for, for us.

Good guide who had a lot of cider and apple knowledge. He could tell something interesting about the history of the apple from all the places that the guests were from. We got 5 cider tastes with good food to go with it. Recommended!
