I had the chicken burger, which was absolutely delicious, while my spouse ordered the beef rendang and devoured it. We also tried the toasties and they were just as good. The café was bustling on a Saturday afternoon, and it's no surprise why. We will definitely be returning.
A very popular spot for coffee, lunch and sweet treats. Enjoyed the Ruben and pulled brisket sandwich, both of which were delicious and very generously filled, pictured as a gluten free option. A side of tasty chips to round out the meal. Coffee was lovely and there was wife selection of sweet treats to eat in or take away. Well worth the visit!
It was a wonderful public holiday and I decided to visit this cafe without any prior plans. I was not disappointed at all. The cappuccino I ordered was excellent. The macadamia tart was served with fresh cream and a chocolate garnish, which made it even more delicious. It's not surprising why the Turret Cafe is so popular. Despite the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, this cafe is thriving. I will definitely be returning more often.
The new owners of this restaurant are exceptional. The food is top-notch, and the service is always quick, even during busy periods. Be sure to try the Rueben sandwich with added pickles.
My family of four had breakfast here during a trip to Ballarat. In a beautiful old building with very friendly service it looked full of locals which is a great sign. We all ordered the Rice Pudding which was beautifully presented and yummy and the...kids had hot chocolates which came with a chocolate dipping stick. A very nice touch.
