Rothesay Rooms - Ballater

I've been thinking about it for a long time and hard, and I've decided that my meal here on november 2021 was the best food I had! each of the employees was mistake-free with their hospitality and it was actually one of the waiter's first day! They also made our engagement celebration very especially with some beautiful touches. my fiancée has a milk intolerance and the chef could no longer come before, even after he had put them in such a short time. I could not recommend this experience anymore. 10/10

A beautiful place with old style charm and real attention to detail. The quality of food was first class and the service very friendly and attentive. A wonderful experience in this lovely Royal Deeside town.

The Rothesay Rooms are owned by HRH the Prince of Wales, Duke of Rothesay, Prince Charles. Since opening they’ve won awards such as North East of Scotland Restaurant of the Year for 3 years in a row, and is a Michelin Plate Restaurant.

We ate at The Rothesay Rooms only last week and were delighted with the food, which was exceptional. What made our experience even more enjoyable was the young lady who served our meal and gave us exceptional recommendations for the accompanying wines. We will definitely be travelling up from Yorkshire before the end of the year, and we will be trying to book a table again.

Truly exceptional. Incredible food, great service and very reasonable prices. The attention to detail was meticulous, the taste and presentation of the food was superb. I couldn't find anything to fault if I tried.
