Whistling Kettle - Ballston Spa

We love the wide variety of food and excellent service at this restaurant. It's about a 45-minute drive for us, but definitely worth it! We are never disappointed when we dine here. This review is based on a lunch meal.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is outstanding, attentive, and friendly. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, all of which are prepared with great care. The lobster bisque is a must-try, and tea lovers will be in heaven with the wide selection available. I can't recommend this place enough - you won't be disappointed. I have been visiting Whistling Kettle for over a decade now, and I was extremely disappointed with both the service and the food during my recent visit. As we were seated outside, we noticed wasps, not bees, swarming the area. It was evident that there was a nest that needed to be addressed, but the staff mentioned that this had been an ongoing issue, especially with sweet items. Despite acknowledging the problem, no effort was made to rectify the situation. The male server was impolite, displaying a bad attitude and using a disrespectful tone while taking our order. In my opinion, the service quality has been decreasing over the years, along with a decline in food quality, while prices have been rising. It's not worth the 30-minute drive to visit this original Whistling Kettle location. I will have to find a new go-to spot.
