Charlotte's Rib Bbq - Ballwin

During our trip to St. Louis, my son and I knew we had to find some delicious BBQ, and Charlottes Rib did not disappoint! This quaint little restaurant located in a strip mall in Ballwin was fantastic. I ordered the Pulled Pork platter, which came on white bread, accompanied by sides of coleslaw and homemade chunky applesauce. Everything was delightful! I was really hungry, and instead of my usual meal, I decided to try this place and ordered the Pulled Pork BBQ lunch plate. It was delicious and definitely satisfied my cravings! I can't wait to return.

Our order was ready in no time—about 10 to 15 minutes. We opted for the half-slab baby back rib dinner and a burger with fries. I found the ribs to be delicious, accompanied by well-seasoned potato salad and green beans. My sister's burger was quite substantial, served on a hoagie bun instead of the usual round hamburger bun, and it was simply topped with cheese. The French fries were thick and more like steak fries. The burger came with BBQ sauce, which she chose to keep on the side, but she still enjoyed it. The restaurant boasts an old-school, cowboy, Western vibe, with various John Wayne memorabilia displayed at the main entrance. Surrounding it are numerous trophies and ribbons highlighting its award-winning BBQ. I would definitely return for more ribs from Charlotte!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole in the wall. I got the Pulled Pork sandwich and wow... there are no words. A classic sandwich down right. Crisp bun, juicy meat, topped with Charlotte's signature sauce. There's about a million options between the menu board and the secret menu (you have to ask for it! so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go try it yourself! You won't regret it! Cool bathrooms too!

Growing up in west St. Louis county just off Manchester rd. this was our families favorite BBQ spot. It hard to believe that it has been 19years since developments forced them out of the restaurant that had so much ambience. The old charm may be gone, but the food is just as good, if not better than I remember. Growing older allows me to appreciate the effort it takes to make consistently excellent food. The CB Joe sandwich and fries is a hard option to beat for lunch. I really enjoy the seasoning they use in the fries. Slightly salty and a touch of sweet make them exceptionally good, dip them in the house sauce!
