Contribuisci feedbackWe had booked for the carvery and again the food was excellent. The roast beef is amazing and we have not found it as tender anywhere else (yet! . The price includes starters, main meal, dessert, and tea/coffee and compares very favorably with any other places we have visited. We would recommend booking a 'slot ' (maybe midweek as the venue is very popular and busy, particularly at weekends.
Sadly, not even a cheap Christmas cracker on the table, a wee mince pie with the coffee and tea, or even an annoying “Last Christmas” or “Jingle Bells” in the background. That said, the food was great and the staff were lovely even though the only sign it was our staff Christmas Lunch was my Santa hat and a collection of festive jumpers!
I love the food at this restaurant, especially the carvery. I have attended special events and functions here and always had a great time. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. It's a perfect place for weddings, special dinners, or lunch with friends. They also offer special rates for older guests on certain days in the carvery.
What are all these negative reviews about? Have they actually been here and experienced the food and service? We drove from Bangor on the advice of a friend and had a really lovely time. Food excellent and plenty of it, service was second to none as well. Outside there’s tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the beautiful gardens and surroundings should the weather permit. Everything is spotless and the long drive was worth every moment and we will MOST CERTAINLY be back. Thanks guys.
We ate in the restaurant. The prices were unbelieveable. Rack of lamb £26, blackened salmon £24. Tiger prawns in a cheese and some tin sauce was over £9. The problem was what was served. The lamb rack which was ordered pink arrived as three lamb chops, quite cold and slightly overdone. Veggies were minimal and cold. The tiger prawn starter was 4 Atlantic size prawns over cooked by being in the hot cheese sauce. To those who will ask why I didn't complain about the meal' I should have but I had just driven for 2.5 hours and I was tired and hungry and fed up. If you are going to charge top rate prices then you must provide a top class service and product.
