You want beef burgers? (in the RUDEST voice)Me: Yeah, sorry. Your sign says 'hamburgers' so I assume they are of the usual beef patty variety with cheese added?Lady behind counter: You say tomato, I say toe-mah-toe.Me: Okay, sorry you've got a particular way of describing that which the rest of the world is on the same page about, but did you really think I wanted an 'all-cheese-burger', like a big hunk of cheese between 2 buns? I simply want what is advertised on the board above your head - 2 hamburgers w/cheese.Lady behind counter: They're beef burgers. Me: Yeah, I got that. Yes 2 w/cheese.Lady behind counter: And what size chips, large?Me: Still fixated on the 'beef burger' thing? Lady behind counter: Do you want to be served?Me: no.Enough said.

I am a very easy going person, and for some reason the reviews I have read confuse me as to whether I am on about the same place, but I have cross checked the number! I have used this fish and chips a few times, been disappointed the last two. I should know better than to go there and get treated with such disrespect! The woman behind the counter is rude and very nasty when you ask for alterations.. The gentleman that works here is always lovely and polite and talks to you and thanks you for coming (it is a shame really he is the only nice thing about this place) They don't stick to what they can't and can't do, (won't do a wrap, will do a wrap, no garlic sauce, will do garlic sauce) The food is not good enough to keep going back again, I will not go here again! Unless you like to pay for very rude service and not very pleasant food, this is the place for you!

We frequent Balnarring take-away for fish & chips often. They are very fast. The chips are hit & miss although and the fish is always fresh and not over battered. Thank you.

Worst chips I've ever eaten Was expecting proper country/beach fish and chips. Got the soggiest most revolting chips ever. Do never eat here.

Friendly staff, great food, cheap too. Called in in Sunday night for a late dinner, fish was lovely and beaut chips I asked the bloke behind the counter why so good and he told me he does not use frozen chips but makes them each day, brought back memories of how fish and chips used to taste yum...
