We were seated right away, and our server was attentive without being overly intrusive. I ordered the egg drop soup, an egg roll, and vegetable chow mein, all of which were delicious and offered generous portions for a lunch special. While the decor isn't anything special, there's free parking available in front. For those who are mindful of dietary laws, this Chinese restaurant is strictly kosher. I highly recommend this place and plan to return soon.
If you follow a Kosher diet, this may be a suitable place for you to eat. However, if you don't have dietary restrictions, you would likely find better Chinese food elsewhere. It's possible that many of the reviews here come from individuals with limited dining options because of Kosher laws, which might skew their opinions. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my dinner. I ordered Peking duck and crispy eggplant, and it cost nearly $80 just for those two dishes. The Peking duck was among the worst I've ever had. It seemed like they either overcooked a roasted duck or reheated an older one. I've never encountered Peking duck meat that was so overdone it appeared charred and was extremely dry. The skin was also dry, lacking flavor, and tasted stale. Even the pancakes were thick and resembled steamed flour tortillas rather than the traditional thin ones. As for the crispy eggplant, I was uncertain if it was initially crispy but it was drenched in a sweet brown sauce that made it soggy. I apologize for the poor quality of the photos as they were taken once I returned home. Overall, it was a disappointing meal, and I won’t be returning.
We started our meal with vegetable fried rice, chicken with cashew nuts, and wok-fried vegetables, and I must say they were quite delicious. The vegetable fried rice originally came with eggs, but as soon as I mentioned it, they promptly exchanged it for a version made entirely with vegetables. I should have clarified that from the start, but they were very accommodating and friendly in handling my request. The restrooms were clean, and the dining area was well-maintained as well. I was surprised to find the place relatively quiet when we arrived around noon. Additionally, for those who follow kosher dietary laws, they do offer kosher food, verified by an on-site Rabbi. I will definitely be coming back to try more!
This is our favorite Chinese restaurant! Everything on the menu is delightful.
