My husband and I were here for the first time before a show at Meyerhoff. It's a nice walk from there. The service was fine to get a bit slow our meal, but we came in a lot of time to go back for the show. The food was really excellent. I had to confuse myself and my husband had a hanger steak. Both were absolutely delicious. I'd definitely come back.
We loved our brunch especially the low noise level so we could talk. The food was good (Shrimp and Grieß, French toast, beet salad, etc.) and the people I loved with the rule the deserts. We drove to a Baltimore Concert Opera performance at the Engineer's Club, and that made a wonderful intro to the day.
Husbands lamb was so undercooked it was blue. My hanger steak was unevenly cooked. I ordered medium rare and the end was medium well and the middle was medium. The potato gratin was like paste. Also disappointed in the desserts. His eclair was simply old.
We love the hanger steak and salmon. Always enjoy dinner there prior to the symphony. Sometimes service is a little slow, but not last Friday! Great white source for muscles and wonderful warm bread.
