Food was excellent and I felt we had excellent value. Server was great, and sound level was just right. Very enjoyed.
Baltimore City Restaurant Week, I love you! I chose this restaurant for Winter Restaurant Week Lunch and I was very happy I did. Overall, I had a very good visit. I went in and was immediately greeted by Kelsey. I was informed that I could sit there where I wanted to sit and at what level I decided, and they would find me and take care of me. They did that. I decided on the 2nd. Sitting level because it was a bit warmer up there and I could have time for myself to catch up on my Yelp. I got menus right away, though I already knew what I wanted. I ordered immediately and was informed that I did great selections and great selections. I ordered her Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and B.A.L.T. Sandwich as my entree. The appetizer was nicely plated! It was so delicious and good. The B.A.L.T. is where we have problems, but before I get there, I'll let you finish the size. The French fries I received with my sandwich were so good that I stopped eating my Shrimp Appetizer, because I had to eat every one and every one of these spammes. You were so good! You didn't even need ketchup! Well, this B.A.L.T. sandwich was so sad that I cried on my plate. I have 1 piece of bacon for every half. They gave me the whole head of the salad and I didn't decide to get the avocado and Mayo, but 1 miserable piece of bacon on every half... heartbreaking. For this reason, this place gets a 4. Just the reason I didn't give them 3 is because the young lady who helped (Kelsey) was fantastic! She was so sweet and friendly. She came all the time at the right time and every time she has to see me, she had to run up to check on little old me and seemed to have no problem with that. I would definitely eat there again, but in hell I would order B.A.L.T. Sandwich. Finally worth a visit!!
The crab soup was excellent. The crab cake was full of filler and masked the actual taste of crabs. My duck was three scallops and two asparagus on mushroom risotto. A scalop was gritty and bland, one was bland and one was so sweet and tasty. The risotto was good, it was crispy of me, the cheese, but it was good. I ordered a cheesecake. My server put my desert in the Tideup box in a plastic bag. I opened it to check and it was just a slice of chocolate cake. She threw it on the servers and she smashed it and bought the right desert. It wasn't terrible, but I'm not going back
Our experience was great! I used the OpenTable reservation process about 3-4 hours before our time, however, they were unaware of our reservation and still had to set up the table when we arrived. Overall, the food was great and the service was even better! A solid option for a Fell's Point dinner.
The drinks were great. The food was just okay. The bartender/ server, albeit overworked, managed to give us good personable service. The place had a musty smell and looked like it needed a thorough cleaning. They offer outdoor seating and steamed crabs.
