Lexington market is full of businesses like this. They do some really exceptional fried chicken here. There are courteous and professional. Very kind people and very good food. Make sure to give these people some love on small business saturday.
The owner of this establishment is very rude. He doesn 't care whether he loses customers or not. I argued with him over hot sauce. I have been supporting his establishment for many years, and today, when I asked for my condiments, which were hot sauce and ketchup to be put on the side, it was a problem. I was told by one of his workers that he would charge for .25 cents for hot sauce because it wasn 't on my chicken. I have NEVER heard of this ever. I ordered chicken, so if anything, I should be given a hot sauce with it. They have a sign up that says, EXTRA sauce is .25 cents ok, no problem, I 'm not getting extra. When I got to the register, he charged me, and I asked why, and he got smart, going back and forth with me. Also, he took my food out of my hand when I was showing him I didn 't have hot sauce on my food. I told him I wouldn 't be returning, and he said he didn 't care. This isn 't the type of establishment you 'd want to support. I 'm done with them! I 'll spread the word to all of my coworkers as well who have been supporting this place.
It surprises me that there is a long line for this place. The chicken is dry and rubbery, the crust is stale and greasy, and overall bland and season-less. I got 3 chicken thighs with fries for $9, which is the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. They do provide a good portion for the cost. Although, the fries were also pretty soggy and flavorless as well.
I saw this place as I was passing through Lexington Market in Baltimore. I ordered 5 wings and French fries. Maybe because it was almost closing time but I got 6 wings in my box (insert happy dance). The wings were perfectly fried and spicy. The French fries were ?
Fried chicken was bland and had an old grease taste. Definitely not the best, but people were lined up so some like it. Chicken livers also needed seasoning, but the did give a lot for cost.
