Up In Smoke Bbq - Baltimore

I had the incredible experience of having Up In Smoke cater my wedding in October 2022. The food was simply outstanding, and there were plenty of leftovers for us to enjoy on our wedding night. The service was exceptional, and the owner was very accommodating, doing everything possible to ensure our guests were satisfied and happy. I would highly recommend them—10 out of 10!

I placed my order and had to wait nearly 2 hours for my ribs to be prepared, but I wasn’t given any explanation for the delay. The customer service was lacking—there were no smiles, thank yous, or any sign of professionalism. I was also disappointed with the quality of the food. To top it off, they abruptly closed at the end of summer without any prior notice.

As for the customer service, it could have been improved. It wasn't terrible, but the staff wasn't very friendly, and there were no smiles. I won't be returning. I try to support black-owned businesses, but I’m exhausted from consistently encountering poor quality and bad customer service. I do not recommend this place.

Awesome Food and amazing professionalism, this is the best thing on Liberty Road, I love this place so much. ????? this spot is on point. We love Up In Smoke. I highly recommend this spot for sure.

I got a pit beef sandwich on 7/2/21 around 2-2:30pm , spent $10.06. First they didn't ask how I wanted it, as far as well done, med. rare, etc. But whatever, then I get my sandwich and the beef was so pink on on the inside it looked almost raw, the texture was terrible and too chewy with more fat then meat. It had absolutely no flavor or seasoning, but I understand that some people don't like too much salt, but if you want to make a good roast, and for it to stand out from anyone else's, you marinade it and at least put some kind of seasons on it, it didn't even taste as if it was grilled, more like boild in plain water.This was the worst pit beef Sandwich I have ever had in my life. I took a few bites and had to throw it away it was so terrible, I was so upset that I wasted my money, again on food in this city. Also the customer service could have been better, it wasn't bad, but they weren't really all that friendly, and no smiles. I will never ever go back there again, I try to support black businesses, but I am so tired of bad quality and poor customer relations, I do not, and will not recommend this place.
