The Swan - Bampton

The food was so good! not to blame, we went there to a birthday meal and it was not disappointed. we asked for a table on the side, because we had a dog with us and that staff also arranged. they told us it could wait a bit for eating because they cook it from fresh, but that was good as we were told and it was really worth waiting!

Had a fantastic overnight stay at this place, Paul and Donna couldn't have done more to make us welcome and we felt really looked after during our stay. The room was excellent and had all the luxuries we required and more. We also went to Spelt for dinner (which they also own) and had a fantastic meal. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay!

This is the second time we have stayed at The Swan Inn and as before, it did not disappoint! Owner Chef Paul and his team provide an excellent, friendly service and make you feel welcome. Paul goes the extra mile to ensure that you have everything you need and nothing is too much trouble for him.The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped, with a fridge and Nespresso style coffee maker. The food (breakfast and dinner) is nicely presented, flavoursome, with a good choice of dishes. The Bampton area is very picturesque with some great walks and biking routes.

I have stayed here during lockdown and eaten here. The way the Swan is run and the friendliness of the staff, and the locals, made it a real pleasure. The Landlord was really hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend

This was our second visit. The first time we came during the stricter phase of the pandemic, so the clear plastic dividers between the tables felt a bit out of place, although the service was friendly. We had an overnight stay that included dinner and breakfast, both of which were very good. This time, we enjoyed a long Friday dinner, and it was excellent. The atmosphere was very friendly.
