Brasserie Toche - Bandol

We took our almost 3 year old to this restaurant last week for lunch. The service was professional, friendly and welcoming. We shared a starter of whitebait with squid, which my son tucked into with great relish and a Thai style tartare of salmon, which could of been a bit more Thai for our liking. The presentation was fantastic. My son then had the moules frites which was lovely and we shared a shell fish platter of our choosing. All the time beautiful salt crusted fish were being expertly served all around us. Fantastic dinning theatre. The sea food was very good and even kept my son entertained with crab claws and prawn play whilst we finished eating. The staff were very good with our child and I would definitely recommend it and return again.

Lovely staff, polite and interested. The food was quick but very well presented. Good times and not too expensive for the quality.

Lovely seafood dinner, we had oysters, tuna, salmon tartar and sea urchins.. Presentation was spot on, food was beautiful and the service lovely. The owner came out to check how we were going a couple of times and had a nice chat with the staff. Definitely recommend!

Booked a table for dinner and upon arrival we realised that there was some sort of party inside a a huge table of over 20 women was already sited. We then asked to be sited outside, as they have a closed heated terrace. But, of course, a closed terrace is apparently considered as "outside" and people can smoke there. First bad point. From there, everything went down hill. Have rarely had such bad service. We had to ask for a bottle of water 4 times; waited more than 30min. for the wine; had to send the lamb chops back, as I had asked for medium-rare and got them so overcooked, I could almost not cut them. Way too expensive for the quality of food and service. Will not go back and do not advise anyone else to go either. Even to be able pay and leave, we had to stand up and start walking toward the door, for the manager to "run" after us with the bill...

We stayed at the restaurant for 3 hours for 4 people. Not by choice but because the service was very slow. Prices are really really expensive for a food that is absolutely terrible (over salted muscles, no apologies from the waitress). No discount on the check. They wanted to replace the food but since we already waited 2 hours to get it the first time we just decided to leave. You can find cheaper and way better in the area easily
