Service impeccable. Je recommande. Au pied de la plage. Vue superbe !
We had dinner there on a Mistral-y evening. The location is fantastic right on the water. Decently sheltered from that night's nasty wind, too. Our food was excellent and the prices OK (for August on Côte d'Azur on the beach... The waitresses were nice and helpful. The choice of seafood is a nice combo of traditional and creative. Well served too. If you don't need to count too close, this is a great place to indulge and enjoy. (If you do, then avoid Côte d'Azur/August altogether, d'oh!
After an exhausting morning sunbathing we needed a break, so crawled sloth like to the steps of La Goelette. We enjoy eating here every year and have been loyal customers for over 8 years. We were welcomed and shown to a lovely table facing the sea. We noticed a new menu featuring tapas. We ordered a selection which arrived promptly with drinks and some freshly baked bread. The tapas included crab balls (must have been a large grab someone remarked). Prawns wrapped in won ton and smoked salmon wraps. All first class and tasty. Well done chef! We look forward to returning....
La Goelette offers a nice and relaxed atmosphere, directly above the private beach of Ile Rousse Hotel. The beach restaurant is much less formal than Les Oliviers, but the cuisine and the service is equally good. This time we came for lunch, and the fresh European lobster (langouste) we had was just delicious. This also goes for the dessert and the lovely local/regional wine.
