The chef made it a point to stop by the table, and even shared some tips on a mushroom dish that i thought was amazing. I love it when a restaurant puts the same effort into a side dish as they do the main course. If you are in Bandon, I definitely recommend this for a date night or nice evening with friends.
Cozy, elegant, romantic, and always satisfying. We often visit the Oregon coast, and Alloro is our favorite dining spot when we're in beautiful Bandon. I absolutely love the spaghetti bolognese. During our visits, we've enjoyed live harp music one time and acoustic guitar melodies another, both creating a lovely atmosphere.
You’ll get your bill with a cute QR code, but it seems they prefer cash payments. It’s a hassle to use a card due to extra fees, but they don’t charge any special fees for card transactions; just keep in mind to tip the harpist, as she relies on that for her income. After all, the amount you pay also reflects in little extras like more bread! The ambiance is lovely, and it’s clear the place has received considerable recognition. The scampi was delightful, and the house-made pasta was spot on. The Bolognese is not just a simple meat sauce; it’s crafted from top-quality meats that are properly prepared to create a genuine Bolognese—truly exceptional. The polenta croutons in the Caesar salad are unique and quite beautiful. The wine list is thoughtfully curated and award-winning, although European wines do come at a premium. But hey, you’re in Oregon—why not enjoy the local selections? That said, I feel like live music may not be the best fit for a cozy place like this.
Without a doubt, this was our best dining experience in Bandon. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The wine list was very reasonably priced, and we enjoyed some lovely cocktails as well. The staff was incredibly friendly. Since we had our chocolate lab with us, we dined on the back terrace, but our table was perfectly set, and there was a small heater to keep us warm. To top it all off, a Bluetooth speaker was discreetly placed on the adjacent table, playing soothing music just for us.
We have always enjoyed it for years, but tonight we were disappointed. Maybe we met a bad night, but quality and taste was not what we remembered in previous visits. An example of this was the Risotto was very good, but the sea bass cheeks were hard and lack of taste Our pasta dishes needed salt. The Bolognese was watery and was simply not pleasant. The bread was delicious.
