Dysart's Truck Stop - Bangor

I stopped here on a recommendation from the hotel that I was staying at. They said that they recommend Dysart's to all their guests since they are handy to the hotel and have a great reputation. They were right! I was greeted right away by a smiling server who offered me a beverage and asked if others were joining me. She went off to get my beverage and as she was walking away I began to look at the menu. The dinner menu is big! Everything from seafood to steak, sandwiches to soup! I ended up ordering the baked stuffed scallops. (I decided it best to go with something I know Mainers know: Seafood! It was to die for! The stuffing was DELICIOUS and it had just the right amount of scallops. Also, since the meal was rather large, I ended up taking a strawberry shortcake with me as a dessert for later. That turned out to be as good as the rest of the meal. All-in-all I would definitely recommend this to any friend. One word of advice: First and foremost, this is a truck stop. As such, you tend to see a wide variety of people. For some this may spoil the atmosphere, for me it was just fine. The next time I go to Bangor, I will be sure to make one of my stops be at Dysart's.
